Concious Dental Sedation

Treatment for dental phobia in Borough Green

Many patients are nervous of coming to the dentist, and some even have full-blown dental phobia. We understand this and try very hard to make you feel as comfortable as possible, so that your anxiety doesn’t prevent you from having the important dental care you require.

At Fourways, we are privileged to be able to offer the dental sedation services of Dr Magdi Mikhael, who is a consultant anaesthetist at Queen’s Hospital in London. He is also one of only six consultants in paediatric anaesthesia, so you can rest assured that you and your children are in safe hands.

Conscious sedation involves either taking a tablet or having an IV connected to administer a relaxant. The drug will help calm you and put you into a dreamlike state without being fully asleep. You will remain conscious yet unconcerned as your dental treatment takes place. Following a session of dental sedation, you will need to make travel arrangements for returning home.

To learn more about our dental services or for any questions you may have, call us on 01732882413 or book a consultation online
